Tongue & Groove
The tongue flange is made with a raised ring that is machined into its face and is known as a tongue and groove flange. A corresponding depression is machined into the face of the groove flange in order to generate it. It's crucial to match the faces of these flanges in order to have a watertight connection. Alloy 20 The inner fluid or gas of the tube or pipe is not in contact with groove and tongue flanges because they are self-aligning. They immediately lose all rusting. The chemical, petroleum, and crude oil extraction industries use nickel tongue and groove flanges.
